Boise, Idaho, did not leave a lasting impression on us on our first visit there. We arrived in Idaho's state capital after hours, when shops and restaurants had closed, and the city was shrouded in darkness.
Although our hotel was only a 10-minute walk from Boise Airport, we had to leave quickly because of the strong October winds. We went out into the brisk air even though it was cold since we were all bundled up and wearing face masks. However, Boise wowed us even on our brief first visit.
